The Lauritzen product portfolio consists of a line of application specific networked controllers, accompanied by a standard server/client management platform, together with a line of application specific drivers.

Controllers

Solar Tracker Control Systems:

The Solar Tracker Control System (STCS) is built around three hardware components; a Sif DC Motor controller, an Utgard Field controller and an Idun weather station. Together with our Valhalla server, the system provides a comprehensive toolset for managing and monitoring of a Solar Tracker field, including Solar Inverter data access. The STCS is equally capable of controlling both single and dual axis, PV systems as well as Concentrated solar systems.

Controllers

Solar PV Monitoring:

Together with our partner, Meteocontrol GmbH, we have developed a simple and easy to deploy monitoring system, Balder, for Solar PV inverters using our standard controller platform and Valhalla server technology.

Controllers

Solar Thermal Control Systems:

The Solar Thermal Control System is based on our standard Thor controller. It includes a comprehensive control system for both glycol and non-glycol, open and closed loop, as well as drain-back and pressurized configurations. It also includes management of recirculation pumps, booster temperature, and an integrated BTU meter.

Controllers

Wind Turbine Control Systems:

The Kari Wind Control System is a turnkey control system for 50KW and below wind turbines. It includes active yaw and generator control, as well as monitoring of wind speed, turbine speed and power inverter diagnostics. Together with our Wind partner, Warner Energy, the system was introduced at AWEA’s 2009 conference.

Controllers

Server Technology:

The Valhalla server technology was developed to provide a generic server platform for a wide range of networked clients. It includes features such as authentication, automatic data and event transfer, client control mechanism, and client software management.

iphone & ipod touch application:

The use of Apple's iPhone or iPod touch creates another dimension in controlling and monitoring trackers and other systems while in the field. Local Wi-Fi access enables the iPhone or iPod touch to discover and communicate with solar trackers, solar thermal and wind systems. The portable devices leverage the Valhalla server to gather and display the relevant information. The iPhone and iPod touch software will be available as a free download to users.
